We have something a little bit special from our next LCM featured artists, who are releasing their debut single at the Green Note tomorrow. The Beatrix Players are a London based dark prog classical pop and indie folk trio from Staffordshire, Melbourne & Madrid. Their members Amy Birks, Jess Kennedy & Amanda Alvarez are all very talented in their own right. Jess many of you will know is also one half of Swallow & the Wolf. Our LCM #TrackOfTheDay is the brand new single 'Lady of The Lake' taken from their debut album 'Magnified'. The new song comes complete with a wonderful animated video by Chloe Rodham. It has a real Kate Bush vibe. We can't can't wait to listen to the rest of the new album. 

Like stepping into a dark fairy tale -experience the subtly unnerving, passionately moving music of the Beatrix Players. This all female trio combine dramatic piano, strong cello and heady vocals, using dark melodies to tell their stories of real life and fantasy. Influenced by a love of film scores and classical composition, the three experiment with different styles of acoustic folk and pop to create music not for the faint hearted.
