Fingernail Moon - Cera Impala

With thanks to Neil King for the recommendation. Our LCM featured artist today is Cera Impala & the New Prohibition with a lovely live and sultry version of 'Fingernail Moon'.

Cera Impala is a wild banjo-wielding mama from Flagstaff, Arizona who has toured across the USA and Europe. Her sound is described by fans as "soulful," "seductive," "angelic," and "mind-blowing,." She is a magnetic songsmith with compositions that spin genuine and intimate yarns about a life wandering the path less traveled. A multi-instrumentalist, she enjoys playing ukelele, guitar, and her very own brand of hard-driving clawhammer banjo. She performs with relaxed charm, wit, intelligence and passion, whether appearing solo, as a duet with her fiery violinist Dirk Ronneburg, or with her band, The New Prohibition. Cera has collaborated with a wide range of artists in a variety of styles, from traditional old-time mountain music & bluegrass, to swing & jazz, to indie & electro-acoustic pop, and was formerly guitarist, singer, and contributing songwriter with the Blackberry Bushes Stringband (Seattle). Additionally she is a member of the notorious queens of harmony, The Bevvy Sisters (Edinburgh). Cera and the New Prohibition have wrapped up production of their latest CD "Higher Place," and have relocated to the UK, making a new home in Edinburgh.
