Good Problems - First Congress
Our LCM #TrackOfTheDay comes from a London based band First Congress lead by composer/singer Tom Van Can. 'Good Problem' is their very good new single released earlier this month. Lovely vocals from Bronwen Lewis on the track, who we featured in Group last year.
The band is made up of talent from every corner of Britain and Ireland; guitarists Graham Kearns (Sinead O’Connor). Clare Kenny (Brian Eno, Andrea Corr) and Kevin Armstrong (Bowie, Iggy Pop); vocalists Bronwen Lewis from Wales, Pauline Scanlon from Ireland, Pauline Alexander from Scotland, along with Ellie Goulding’s backing singers, Zalika King and Simone Daley-Richards completing the line up.
Their album 'On A Promise' was produced by the legendary John Reynolds (Sinead O’Connor, Brian Eno, U2, The Corrs), engineered by Grammy award-winning Alan Branch, and mastered at Abbey Road Studios. It is due release later this year.
Their debut single 'The First' was playlisted on BBC Radio 2.
