The Showdown - Belle And The Busker
We stay local for our next LCM featured band the wonderful London based Belle and the Busker. At the very beating heart of the band are a duo, singer-songwriters Ciara Rafferty and Daniel Spiller. I had the great pleasure of meeting Daniel recently, thanks for the great introduction Russell John Swallow :) Our LCM #TrackOfTheDay is one of my favourites from the band the wonderful 'The Showdown'.
The band will be performing at The Pheasantry in Chelsea on the 25th April.
They have been described as contemporary country/folk but if you dig a little deeper you'll find an Irish singer mixing melodic songwriting with mellifluous harmonies and slick musicianship.
The band has been championed by Janice Long on BBC Radio 2 with several plays of their track 'Takes Two' which has also been a feature on BBC Radio 4 and BBC Radio London. You can hear them regularly busking along the Southbank and tube network in London.
The band is currently working on a unique recording project with a fabulous team of musicians and Label Producer Rupert Christie.
