Our LCM featured artist today is the excellent Hattie Briggs. Hattie is a 25-year old singer-songwriter with a penchant for telling stories of emotion and impulse, of love and loss. Friday 23th February saw Hattie release the first of five singles in 2018 which follow on from her being the inaugural recipient of the Fender (Guitars) Undiscovered Artist of the Year Award in November 2017. She will support the release of the singles with a series of mini-tours starting in late April 2018.  Our LCM #SongOfTheDay is the first single the tender and heartfelt 'Early Girl'. ‘Early Girl’ is a tale borne from a father’s written reflections concerning his feelings about the anxiety arising from the premature birth of his daughter some fifty years ago. The self-written and recorded song moves the story from initial concern to joy and on to swelling pride and love as the baby’s heartbeat strengthens and life is affirmed.
