LCM Song Of The Day: ‘Heartstrings’ - Laura Evans

Released today our next LCM featured track is the brand new single ‘Heartstrings’ from rising UK Country star Laura Evans. The video is taken from a wonderful live UTAT session recorded at the home of BBC Radio 2 presenter Bob Harris. Laura is originally from South Wales but is now based in Los Angeles. She is also a presenter of her own show ‘New Country with Laura Evans’ (Tues 6PM) on the TV channel ‘Keep It Country’ hosted on Sky TV.

If you would like to see Laura live in London she will be performing at The Troubadour on the 14th February for Countryline along with the very talented Lisa Wright and Lars Pluto.

Laura is a Welsh singer songwriter, known for her captivating soulful voice, story telling lyrics and pop country melodies. Laura's love of country music took her all the way to Nashville to write, record and release her latest EP entitled 'Remember When'.

She has managed to wow the stars such as American Rap superstar ‘Drake’ who became a fan, after seeing her perform live in Los Angeles and co- writing songs with members of the hugely successful band 'Magic'. Many of her songs can be heard on the popular CMT channel and in all Caffe Nero stores across the country.

Laura won over a crowd of 1400 welsh fans when she supported popular UK country band 'The Shires' in concert at Chepstow Castle and recently performed at C2C : Country2Country Music festival at the O2 arena in March, alongside an incredible lineup of Nashville's finest artists.

Laura has had the pleasure to perform at several UK festivals this year as well as supporting pop stars All Saints & Gabrielle at Meraki Festival and recording an acoustic live performance for Under the Apple Tree Sessions, that featured on Chris Country Radio.

Laura is one to watch this year and adds an exciting new sound to the British country scene.
